Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN) is pleased to announce that it has signed a definitive licensing agreement with Big Blue Technologies (BBT) for the exclusive use of their magnesium extraction technology (called aluminothermic (ATR)), including the exclusive rights to sell the magnesium produced to markets around the world.  

The name change Minago Critical Minerals Project reflects the recent additions of other critical minerals that are generally associated with nickel deposits, known as platinum group metals (PGMs), which include Platinum, Palladium, Ruthenium, and Rhodium along with previously confirmed Magnesium.

In order to ensure we have Indigenous people trained for the many jobs that will be available at Minago Critical Minerals Project, another training program began at the Minago site in October. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

Participating at the 2025 PDAC conference - the biggest mining conference in the world - gives NHCN the opportunity to engage in conversations with attendees to discuss the opportunities this mining project presents. We have already begun training programs to ready the community for job opportunities.
