Minago Nickel / PGM

The Minago Critical Minerals Project is different. Environmental permitting is almost complete. The project not only has First Nation support but is 100% owned by the Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN).

NHCN seeks a senior mining company partner that shares our vision to advance the project. Welcome to a New Age of Mine Development in Canada..

We hear a lot these days about how difficult it is to put new critical minerals projects into production in Canada, with regulatory red tape to deal with, mining resistant First Nations, and often a shortage of critical infrastructure.

This Project is Different

Well Located

  • The Project site is in the Central region of the Thompson Nickel Belt.

  • Minago is the most advanced project in this underexplored section of the Belt.

  • The Project is well-located to existing infrastructure - adjacent to PTH 6 and a 230 kV hydro power line, 60 km south of the Bay Line rail at Ponton, and a 4.5 hr drive north of Winnipeg.

  • NHCN is positioning the Minago Project to become a Ni/PGM mining and processing hub for the central region of the nickel belt.

Development Ready with Exploration Upside

The property currently comprises 94 mineral claims and 2 mining leases covering 19,661 ha.

The current Minago mineral resource is primarily based on open pit mining of the Nose Deposit. with possible future expansion to include the North Limb deposit, which has not yet been fully drilled off.

The Nose deposit remains open at depth, and the North Limb is open along strike and at depth. Drilling is continuing on the North Limb, and 7 other mineralised targets remain to be more fully evaluated. Significant upside exploration potential remains on the property.

Permitting Status

The project has a Manitoba Environment Act Licence (No. 2981) and NHCN is in the process of completing a Notice of Alteration (NOA) to implement improvements to Tailings Storage Facility design and water management/ treatment plans.

The NOA review is in the final stages of Section 35 Consultation with First Nations, with completion expected in Q4 2025.

    Minago Quarry

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

    Magnesium Production

The Minago Ni/PGM deposit sits under about 60 m of dolomite (a type of limestone) cover-rock. Development of the Ni/PGM deposit will first require quarrying 111 million tonnes of dolomite.

    Minago Camps

The NHCN remote camps have the capacity to accommodate 124 people in 9 different camps. Some are fully equipped with kitchen and dining facilities. Private sleeping quarters can include single beds, desks, closet space and many with their own bathroom facilities.
